The English Whisky Co
St. George's Distillery
Harling Road,
Roudham, Norfolk,
NR16 2QW

Totally unique to St. George’s Distillery. A local farming estate has been making their own Nog for generations, and very kindly allowed the distillery to borrow/steal the recipe. This is a very alcoholic cream and is best drunk in moderation. A very simple drink consisting of our Single Malt Whisky & cream. We think best served outdoors on a cold and blustery day. Perfect for long walks or a day fishing, or if you are not one to brave the elements, add some ice, a comfy chair and a log fire. Either way you are going to love this Nog.

19% ABV

The English – Smokey

Aged to perfection in specially selected casks. A peated (45ppm) single malt whisky. A lovely waft of smoke on the palate, ideal alternative for the Islay fan.

TASTING NOTES

A gentle aroma with hints of vanilla, aniseed & ginger, a creamy palate, a little peat initially and then the smoke bomb! Finish is long, spicy and smokey.

Wild but perfectly balanced.

Since 2012, the relaxed and laid back lifestyle that Norfolk living brings made him choose Norfolk as his home. Norfolk also happens to be the birthplace and childhood home of Lord Nelson: he learned to sail on The Broads and was a pupil at Paston Grammar School in North Walsham, where the Company is based.

Nelson & Norfolk Tea

The Nelson & Norfolk Tea Company was established by Mark Richmond, who moved to Norfolk after being inspired by many early memories of happy family holidays, the beautiful coastline and those big East Anglian skies.

So, the Nelson & Norfolk Tea Company was born, bringing together this great County and national hero to epitomise the best tea to be found anywhere.

At Darrow, we will be taking going back to a more traditional way of selling the teas, and selling the leaves loose 'per quarter' (100g approx) as it was decades ago.

Artisanal coffee, ethically sourced, carefully selected, and roasted in Norfolk.

We have chosen to supply this coffee for many reasons - the story behind this coffee is fascinating, and we suggest you check it out at the Norfolk Coffee Co.'s website!

Norfolk Coffee Company

As with the teas from Nelson's, we will sell beans loose, 'per quarter' (100g) so you can grind them at home.

Yare Valley Oils

Ever since settling beside the Norfolk Broads in the early 1900’s the Mack Family have been farming the rich soil of the Yare Valley.

Crops grown include potatoes, cereals, beans, sugar beet, and oil seed rape that is mechanically pressed to create these versatile and award winning Extra Virgin Cold Pressed Rapeseed Oils , infusions and dressings. The seeds are simply pressed by mechanical means then filtered twice for an incredibly pure and wholesome oil that is then also used as the foundation to create a range of infusions, dressings and marinades. The oil is high in omega 3, contains vitamin E and has half the saturated fat of olive oil.

We have a range of these products at Darrow and hope you will enjoy them as much as we do!
